Pearson_hsDr. Pearson received his doctoral degree in epidemiology (health policy) from Yale University. He holds a Master of Public Health degree in health policy and management from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Cortland. He retired as the Everett Sackett Professor of Health Management and Policy, University of New Hampshire, and currently consults with nonprofit organizations on governance and strategic management. For over two decades he was on the faculty of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Yale University School of Medicine, part of that time as the school’s associate dean for public health. He served in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, and has contributed to various legislative proposals, federal regulations and programs. Currently, Dr. Pearson is a member of the State of Connecticut’s Quality of Care Advisory Committee plus its Subcommittee on Hospital Best Practices.
