In addition to new spaces, many of Whitney Center’s current amenities will be given a new scope with this expansion. The main dining room adds a “display cooking” area—much as in an upscale restaurant. Residents will be able to reserve a new private dining room, also to be the venue for special themed dining from time to time. (Thai or tapas, anyone?) The bistro/marketplace will offer fresh fare on premises and to go.

Opportunities for staying fit will be even more accessible thanks to an expanded and updated Fitness Center with indoor pool and spa and improvements to the walking paths that wind through the campus. For the “artists in residence” in this community, new studio spaces will provide added inspiration. Speaking of art, a new “green roof” system of low-growth plants atop areas of our rooftops will provide its own enhancement to Whitney Center’s aesthetics and ecology.
